RAD01/RAD02: RADIOLOGY FOR DENTAL AUXILIARY FOR HARP QUALIFICATION: THEORY & PRACTICAL

Program Length
This program is 8-weeks long and is taught using the hybrid model of both online and in-person learning.

Part-time hours

  • Theory consists of 52-hours
  • Clinic consists of 35-hours

Program Schedule
The online theory classes are taught two evenings per week starting at 7PM (synchronous & asynchronous).
There are two mandatory weekends both Saturdays and Sundays from 8AM – 6PM where the students will have hands-on clinical sessions in-person at the college.

Please note: Students that miss any clinic session will need to makeup that time and will be charged a supplemental fee.

Additional Information:

  • The program hours will run evenings and weekends.
  • Completion of the program, student will receive a HARP certificate and letter stating they are HARP-approved.
  • This program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005

Documents Required

  • Canadian High School Diploma and Transcript

or

  • WES and/or ICAS report for Education outside of Canada
  • Letter from your current Dentist (employer) stating your current role in their dental office (out of country letters are accepted)
  • NDAEB Certificate if applicable

Note: Without prior dental educational training, you must be working in a dental office and are required to submit an accompanying employment letter from your dental employer.

Is this program vocational or non-vocational?
This program is non-vocational and does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.
How long is the program?
The program is 8-weeks in length and consists of 2 mandatory weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for clinical sessions to be completed in-person at the college.
What do we receive after completion of the program?
A certificate and letter stating the student is now HARP approved will be given upon completion of the program.
I don’t have education in the dental field; can I still sign up?
Any applicant that does not have a dental educational background must be currently working in the Canadian dental field. A letter from your Dentist (employer) is required to validate and attest to your employment status.
I don’t have any Canadian dental office experience except from outside of Canada; can I still sign up?
Applicants with dental education outside of Canada must provide a letter from the Dentist (employer) to validate and attest the employment status previously held.
